The Fordland Memorial Library was established in 2017. We opened the doors of our new library at 157 W. Main Street in Fordland Missouri in 2021.
Our Library Hours are:
Monday: 9-1, 2-5; Wednesday 9-1, 2-5; Friday 9-1, 2-5; Every 4th Saturday 10-2 w/ Story time for ages 2-8 from 11 am-12 noon
Services that we offer:
- Free WiFi
- We have 3 laptops available for public use.
- Printing services: 15 cents per page for black; 25 cents for color.

Past Events:
Amanda “the snake lady” came to visit on Saturday, Sept 25, 2021. She brought 3 of her snakes and other reptiles and amphibians. Everyone enjoyed listening to Amanda read a story and hold her pets.
Halloween celebration on Saturday, Oct 23, 2021. It was at the Chateau Charmant Castle. 1700 Martins Branch Rd, Fordland. Tosombra Kimes (and her two daughters) read “Princess Lizzie Learns Manners” to a group of children dressed in their Halloween costumes. This is the first book published by Tosombra. She autographed and sold copies of her new book. She is from Ft Leonard Wood.
Mr and Mrs Santa visited on Nov 27, 2021, from 11-3. They read to the children from 11-11:30 and then were available for pictures the rest of the time.
The library and Legacy Services joined efforts to do a “Build a Gingerbread House” event for children on Dec 11, 2021.
The Fordland High School Beta Club helped with a Community Bake Sale on April 16, 2022, at the local Dollar Store. Thanks to all the patrons who baked or purchase goodies. It was a huge success! Another bake sale is planned for the Fall.
The Fordland High School Beta Club members were personal readers for children who came to the monthly story hour on April 23, 2022. The children enjoyed a hotdog lunch and participated in a “dandelion” craft activity.

- Cherry Blossom Festival Enchilada Lunch every April @ Marshfield Assembly of God Church – 1538 W Washington, Marshfield, MO 65706
- Spring and Fall yard sales
- Fall Car and Bike Show
- Book Fairs
- We set up booths for local vendors and serve a lunch at the local Schofield Gray events that happen 4 times a year.
